ERC, TLA, BTW and all those other alleged TLA's aren't acronyms. They're initialisms. A true acronym spells another (usually unrelated) word. So PUG, for instance, is an acronym.
Ok, so TLA isn't really a three letter acronym, then. But it is a three letter abbreviation. So, there :-)
