You may need a CF card reader. My simple reader reads EI-100 formatted cards without problems.

I assume that means win2k/Xp is supposed to be automatic. I also tried connecting the camera to MacOS X. Nothing. Worked fine with my friend's Canon A70 a couple of months ago. (Pentax USA's page specifically says MacOSX compatibility should be automatic.)
