Hi Alastair,

I have tried the Kirk plates and returned them for those made by Really Right
Stuff (RRS). Kirk's ballhead however is supposed to be very good. I also
purchased a low level modified Manfrotto/Bogen tripod from Kirk.

The RRS Plates I have and used on an LX, MZ-5n, MG, F*300/4.5 & A*200/4 Macro.

I have 3 x RRS Plates.....
B21 LX, MZ-5n & MG Dovetail parallel to body
B9 LX, MZ-5n & MG Bidirectional (parallel/perpendicular)
also used for F*300/4.5 & A*200/4 Macro, until..
B97?? F*300/4.5 & A*200/4 A Nikon plate that was cheap on Ebay, but fits
also allows a bit of forward/back for macro.

The B21 & B97?? have stops on them to prevent camera/lens falling off when
loosening the wrong screw !!

Check out the RRS website....

Subject: arca-swiss type plate for super program

Hi

does anyone know whether Kirk or somebody else makes a swiss arca style
plate for the superprogram. Their website says that they make one for MX/LX
and another for PZ-1p

has anyone used these and how much more securely do they hold the body onto
the head? Will these fit on a superprogram?

Alastair Robertson
