I suspect that this problem will be the bain of digital SLR users. My sensor is pretty dirty right now as well, so I suppose I should clean it. I don't know if the owners manual goes into much detail regarding sensor cleaning, but the sensor is the source of your black spots. It is behind the shutter where you would expext film to be located if the camera used such stuff. William Robb
