Dag's photo reminds me of the "portrait" by (was it?) Eve Arnold, of the infant's had wrapped around the mother's finger. Both photos are outstanding examples of portraits where no faces are present. Kind of turns our expectations of what a portrait is upside down, but they both are telling of the subject's spirit; isn't that what a portrait is all about?

Dag has become among my "favourites" on this list. Problem is, the list is becoming so long... <vbg>
