Sorry, Cot, ol' man. . .not so. Not on MY computer! In Dock Preferences, I have, in order: Dock size - Small to Large Magnification - Min. to Max. Position on Screen _ Lt., Bottom, Right. Minimize using: Scale Effect or Genie Effect Animate opening appllications Automatically hide and show dock. That's ALL I have. Nothing at all about disabling that bouncing Terrier! Any other thoughts? keith
