I think my first reaction were I shooting, would have been to include the person off-frame on the left in my shot. But, by leaving him/her out, you've made a much stronger composition. The glowing pot, even though now off-centre, becomes a much more integral part of the story.

The many art galleries in Sacramento coordinate their openings to be part of
a monthly evening event called "Second Saturday." It's a great chance to
see a lot of art in a short period of time.
One of the galleries, the Art Foundry, sponsors a demonstration bronze pouring each month. I'm attracted to glowing liquid metal like a moth to a flame, and the last time I went I took a camera with a fast lens. Here is one of the better images that I got under fairly tough conditions:

This is the silicon carbide crucible full of liquid bronze coming out of the
furnace.
