Nope. Looking for cute young women with their cute little dogs.

Seriously, Attila, I was there with my youngest daughter, Claire. We were buying candy.

This is one of those "upscale" candy stores that seem to be popping up all over the place these days. They sell all sorts of candies that they had when I was a kid, but I haven't seen in years. Like licorce cigars (with the red sugar sprinkles at the end, denoting fire), hollow wax fingers filled with horrible "fruit juice" and the like. BB Bats! Haven't seen one of those for 30 years at least; had no idea they still made them.

They're kind of cool places, but the prices are very high. Stuff that we bought as nickel candy when I was a kid is now a dollar or two. Penny candy is a nickel. Inflation, I guess.

So, anyway, I saw what we called "sponge candy" there, and raved and raved about it. Bought a chunk for Claire and me. She hated it! It was pretty funny. I'm sure she thinks that kids back in my era were big huge goofs for liking that stuff!!

Anyway, thanks for the comment. Appreciated.

cheers,
frank
