Thomas, In your instance, I would have to say that you will not use your MX again.
I do shoot to capture the moment as you do. But more often than not, I also try very hard to make sure that the exposure is correct. I think this is where we differ a lot. The best praise I have ever received was from a few photo lab technicians who comment that they rarely ever have to correct my exposures (other than to take into account machine anomalies). And if they do, once it is dialed in with the first shot, it is consistent throughout the roll. This is something I take into my digital shooting too. I do not want to spend any of my time color correcting my shots in front of the computer. I prefer to only consider cropping. I still shoot film. Just yesterday I shot digitally to confirm exposure for my 'little sister's' bridal portraits, but shot the real shots with my 645n. For my travels I will always shoot film. As for using manual focus, I tend to use my AF cameras in manual focus quite a bit. It usually depends on the situation. The bridal portraits I took yesterday was mostly in AF.
