Thomas,

In your instance, I would have to say that you will not use your MX again.

I do shoot to capture the moment as you do. But more often than not, I also
try very hard to make sure that the exposure is correct. I think this is
where we differ a lot.

The best praise I have ever received was from a few photo lab technicians
who comment that they rarely ever have to correct my exposures (other than
to take into account machine anomalies). And if they do, once it is dialed
in with the first shot, it is consistent throughout the roll. This is
something I take into my digital shooting too. I do not want to spend any
of my time color correcting my shots in front of the computer. I prefer to
only consider cropping.

I still shoot film. Just yesterday I shot digitally to confirm exposure for
my 'little sister's' bridal portraits, but shot the real shots with my 645n.
For my travels I will always shoot film.

As for using manual focus, I tend to use my AF cameras in manual focus quite
a bit. It usually depends on the situation. The bridal portraits I took
yesterday was mostly in AF.

Contemplating taking M42 for my next trip after GFMtn,

Hi all you crazany PDML folks! :-)

Just a quick note from an old Pentax lover, who acquired a C*n*n 10D and
wonders if he will ever use his Pentax film equipment again.

Sorry this was so long, the point was the question I find myself asking
myself, "Will I ever use my film cameras again?
