Looking in my folder of (unmodified) *istD files, it averages out to 2MB. Most (almost all) were ISO 200, you can expect larger files from higher ISO settings.
The files vary from 251k (yes, its nearly black :) and 4.6MB PEF (raw) files tend to be around 13MB. Unforuntately Pentax chose not only to store these uncompressed, but store 12 bits as 16 to make it larger. My Canon S45 raw (CRW) files average at 3.8MB, for 4mpix (still 12 bit, but compressed).
