To the best of my knowledge I don't have an AC adapter. If there's one hidden in the bottom of the box then it's still there -- I've never used it. I use rechargeable AA batteries which came with their own adapter, and when I'm charging one set I have another set sitting in the camera. Also, I use a card reader to transfer my images, as I have always done with my Optio 550 as well. ERN
