A4 210 x 297 mm 8.3 x 11.7 in A3 297 x 420 mm 11.7 x 16.5 in A2 420 x 594 mm 16.5 x 23.4 in A4 is the standard sheet of writing, copy etc paper in this part of the world. A3 is the double size and A2 is the double of that. The A paper system is defined so that A0 is exactly one square meter with the height/witdh ratio of one to the square root of two.
