But definitely not uncommon.  I find them regularly in thrift shops and have owned 
several over the years.

I should've added, "over here".
I have searched for one since i'd rather have a GIII QL17 instead of my 
28 (goes only up to iso400 etc.) but the ONLY one that I could find was 
really expensive.
But the Canonet 28 is a nice little camera, great for snapshots or when 
you just want to bring alone one small camera.
