Not necessarily, the relative size of the active lens elements in many IS 
lenses appear quite compact and the *ist D sensor (same as the new Minolta) 
weighs in at 7.00g bare. Kind of makes you kind of wonder why they bother to 
move the lens for track/focus and not the sensor in CD/DVD pick-ups too.
