I got one along with my first AF Pentax camera back in '98 and haven't
thrown it off a cliff yet. :-)  It's not as sharp as my FA* 200/2.8 or
F* 300/4.5, but it wouldn't be, would it.  It can be a little soft, but
that's mostly visible on the computer screen at large image sizes. 
When the photos are printed it's OK, but not eye-popping.  The F
100-300/4.5-5.6 that I got at the same time, however, hasn't been on
the camera in a _long_ time due to what I feel is "insufficent
sharpness".
