Actually, I sometimes wished this lens (one of my favorites) was really a 70-210/2.8 zoom instead of 80-200/2.8. A 3:1 zoom ratio would be better than a 2.5:1 ratio (although I wouldn't want the lens to be optically compromised just for a little wider zoom range...). Fred
