This doesn't surprise me in the least. I have long been of the
opinion that UPS  Canada is ripping off it's customers with
cross border shipping.
I have had orders shipped via UPS take as long as 6 weeks to be
delivered from New York. The longest the post office  has take
has been 17 days from B&H Photo, and they average 10 days. UPS
has averaged a month from NYC on the 3 shipments I have had from
them.
I have bought from KEH, and had them ship via Fed/Ex, as they
won't ship using the post office. Fed/Ex charges a bit more up
front (on the last thing I bought from KEH, it was CAN$60.00
rather than CAN$45.00 viaUPS), but does not charge out an
exorbidant "brokerage fee". They do have to collect Duty,
General Screw Tax and possibly Provincial Screw Tax on shipping
and on the product.
