I DO use a round magnifying glass for some things. It resides on my reading table. Used to be in a kitchen drawer, now it's out all the time...
I no longer care about appearances. I can see better with it. <g>

Oddly enough, I have a diopter lever on one of my better camera's viewfinder, and it's set at exactly midpoint. Not +, not -.
Dunno why!
