I'm thinking of purchasing a new desktop sometime soon and would like to hear from user of Photoshop CS. What type of a "system" would you build today to work with with Photoshop CS?
I've become a big fan of AMD processors of late.
Anyway, CS is a bit of a resource hog, and likes lots of ram and a fast bus.
A year ago, I built a new box based on an MSI K8T Neo motherboard.
An AMD 3200+ (64 bit) processor and 1.5 gig of ram.
I have PS using a 7200 spin SATA drive, which I will, at some point, change out for a 10000 spin drive.
I am using WinXP Pro.
Get a video card that supports 32 bit colour and will run 2 monitors at a high refresh rate.
You'll never go back to a single screen after using two.
