although i am not surprised, i think it is a bit premature to do that, if i 
were Pentax. i would try to keep at least the *ist in production for a while 
longer.

I was down at the local camera shop the other day and the owner told me 
that Pentax was planning on discontinuing all of their film based SLR's. 
She said the information came not from her sales rep but from another shop 
owner who is apparently more "plugged in" to what's going on.  Anyone else 
heard about this?
