I've found the LX autoexposure extremely accurate. Of course in situations that aren't neutral, exposure compensation must be applied. That's true of any exposure system.
I've found it to be either very accurate, or else it completely malfunctions and under exposes by several stops.
Mostly it is pretty good though.
I should probably change my batteries more often and see if that helps.
