I used to have a nice sized bag that was secured to the tank (called
a "tank bag") in which I could carry a fair anoint of stuff.  I'd
often carry a change of clothes, rain gear, and the like.  A camera
would fit nicely in a bag of that sort.  While I've not ridden in
many years, I understand such bags are still available in various
sizes.  Some are compartmentalized, with a larger bottom compartment
and a top compartment that's separable, and which you can carry with
you instead of removing the whole bag.  Do a search on "motorcycle
tang bag" and see what's out there these days.
