It's what you use when you're sitting in front of a Mac and
you want to browse through the various folders/directories
to see what files are there.

As opposed to the Windows file browser, which is what you use
if you're in front of a Windows box.

Or the Gnome or KDE browser you might use on a Linux system.

It's really not that complicated - even a Mac user should be
able to understand the concept ...


It might be part of the OS software, or it might be just a
simple user application providing a graphical interface.
None of the points I raised depend on this in any way.
