I cannot imagine Pentax (or Kodak for that matter) would release a digital
camera not up to whats expected of the price range by 2006 standards. Both
Kodak and Pentax must be perfectly aware of whats achieveable in the near
future and not risk releasing a substandard product. I'm sure the Pentax 645D
will be good at what it's doing for what it costs; I cannot recollect a Pentax
product that wasn't.
My view of the Pentax 645D is a simple one: if it flops it would have been a
bad idea; if it suceeds it can safely regarded as a good one. At this stage,
everything else is speculation (not that theres anything wrong with that).
