Presumably yours had the 2 litre twin-cam?
Those lovely 4 cylinder twin cams were wonderful engines. I still have an old 75/Milano with the 3 litre V6 (parked doing nothing), and it's marvelous, but I had three cars with the twin cam 4s, and they were truly memorable.
AR Guiliettas had either the 1.3L or 1.6L version of the DOHC four. The 2.0L version of that engine didn't surface until 1972 ... that's the one in my Spider, with the 1982 Bosch EFI. The 1.7L version of the classic Alfa four is about my favorite, but they were only brought to the US in 1969 and 1971.
