Now that I look closer, that rubber eyecup looks like it's up the
wrong way - the bit that's sticking out should be on the other side.
If you tried to look into it with your right eye you'd hit it, and
your nose would drive it into your eye instead of having it fold
back. And that would hurt.
As for who would do that, I have no idea. Maybe you did it before
your first Earl Grey of the day :)
