My thought is that the cameras will be more plentiful than the number of 
users available.

This is already the case, actually it has been the case for a couple of 
decades or more.

But B&W film will be around.  Even if it is high-prices.  And probably 
only for 4x5 & up.

I hope so, I happen to like the stuff.
But my gut tells me otherwise.
