I'm a newbie who inherited is mom-in-law's mx and love the camera. it came
w/a M50/2 along w/a aston(?) 28/2.8. I've used the 50mm as an everyday lens
and love the feel of the mx in my hands. have enjoyed it so very much that
i've delayed all thoughts of getting buying a AF rig.

now it's time for a new lens. traveling to sf w/young (10 & 8) daughters at
end of july. will take 2-4 day long trips to big sur, mendicino and
yosemite. wanted an "everything" zoom.

after reading pug for the past month, i'm thinking of the A35-105/3.5. it
will give me a little tele for the landscapes (i love compression) and a
little wide for the sights. plus the mid lengths 80-100 will give me a start
at a portrait lens.

i know that primes will be "better" but funds are always an issue so i
thought this zoom would do more than say the A70-210/4 or the sears/tokina
80-200/4 or the viv ser1 70-210/2.8-4?

any thoughts on the a35-105/3.5?

what's a fair price?

thanks to all
