I've been using some old reading magnifiers with glass lenses.
They're not optically excellent as a nice Mamiya (plese,
don't shoot) or Pentax loupe. But they only sell for a dollar
or so at garage sales (my summer home) or thrift shops (my
vacation spots). Why spend $200 when some good magnifiers are
being almost given away?
