K/M lenses are obsolete as they lack these capabilities. Doesn't make them unusable or inferior, just obsolete.

In many cases, they also be inferior or unusable. A lot of older lenses just don't image well on digital for a variety of reasons having to do with digital sensors being somewhat less forgiving of certain lens aberations than film, chromatic aberation being the main culprit. I have a few older lenses that exhibit this, to the point of being junk lenses on digital, even though they are excellent performers on film.
