That's still not the price that will make it sell in hundreds thousands exemplars. In case of APS-C DSLR sales were rather so-so until sub 1000 USD 300D (Rebel D) arrived. And 5D is still amataeur class (technical parameters are even worse then $1500 20D) DSLR with pro-class FF sensor for twice price of similar featured APS-C camera. And so far there's no competition, so drastical price drop is unlikely. But who knows? Time will tell.
