They've got better sharpness even in corners, have greter DOF and usually don't need top noise performance above iso400. If supposed Nikon D200 with 10 MPix APS-C sensor will be under $2000 SRP and will have AIS lenses compatibility (it would mean access to the largest lenses choice among any mount), it will easily outsell 5D.
