Kodak used to be the overall holding company for things photographic, I believe at one time they owned a piece of every publicly traded company that manufactured something related to the photo industry.

Friends in the digital sensor division at Kodak. I think Kodak is just
part owner, actually but I think it's majority share. They apparently
want to keep their relationship on the QT. I'm going up to Rochester this weekend and I'll see what else I can find
