I fail to understand why one would pay so much more
for a camera with functions that they neither want nor
need, and that they won't use in a million years. The
only conclusion I can come to is that it is a status
symbol, like the latest Porsche or Ferrari, and it
feels good to say "Look at the new MZ-S I bought". I
was going to say something rude here about maybe they
are compensating for the diminutive size of something
else, but I won't - I'm always a nice girl ;)
I can tell you for sure I will never buy an MZ-S or a
Ferrari, unless all the older (and better) cameras are
somehow wiped out, and buying the MZ-S is the only way
to buy a non-digital camera with manual capabilities.
Frankly I don't care much about status symbols, I
don't own a car or a house. And I want a camera that
allows me to take a photo, without confusing myself
with all the bells and whistles. And, yes I can access
all functions of my VCR and microwave. Taking a photo
is different, though.
