You shouldn't, but they do.
If you run it as a debit they do not have to pay the credit card fee.
Makes them another 2.75%, or something like that, profit. If I didn't
like the service I always run it as a credit card. Also you can run it
as a credit card when your banks computers are down, it is a life saver
then.
