I was a gunsmith in the U.S. for over 45 years, and there are still
parts to the most critical mechanisms in a firearm that some
manufacturers simply will not sell to a licensed gunsmith.
You have to send the gun back to the factory to be repaired and adjusted
- period.
It stands to reason, since their reputation as a manufacturer of safe,
reliable and dependable items may be ruined by inexpert repair or
replacement.
In that case, no U.S. law exists that forces the manufacturer to sell
parts they don't want to.
