I've resolved just yesterday to, take the 28 - 200 out of my camera bag and box it up and put it in the garage. While it's a fairly good lens for snapshots, I am getting more unenamoured?? with it as time goes on. It's just not sharp enough for serious work.

I'm going to need a 200 or 300mm prime. I have the 200mm M but I would prefer AF.

Cliché Alert!

Now that that's out of the way, just a seasonal sort of shot from a local State Park. Gillette's Castle. I surprised these two on the front lawn while I was tramping around looking for a particular shot. I didn't get it, and they took off. The didn't go far...

Tech Info:
Pentax *ist-D ISO 800 @ 1/20sec
smc Pentax-FA 28-200mm F3.8~5.6 AL @ 200mm f5.6

(I find myself wanting to take something else with me other than the 28-200 but it's too damned convenient...)
