I know I shouldn't respond to this and I'm not stating a position, just like to
pass on trivia. There is a Finnish writer Pentti Linkola who is very recognized
there and who espouses the same thing. His analogy is the world is like a
lifeboat and you can't let everyone in or it capsizes and everyone drowns. He
advocates a massive war to thin out the population. A bit morbid, but
interesting none the less.
