I couldn't agree with you more. Indeed, there are many pros who use very
basic SLRS (Spotties, FM2's, K1000's, whatever) and many amateurs who buy
the Spendicam 5000, a plasticky monstrosity chock full of gadgetry they'll
never need, just to impress people who don't know any better.  Ultimately,
it's the attitude and the aptitude that matters most.  I, for one, am
holding off on making a decision for another camera purchase until I've
finished the NYI course and decide what I NEED (and maybe just a bit of the
WANT, as well!)  I may get the MZ-S or LX eventually but for now, I'm
getting fine results with my Super Program, as well as my "backup" P5.
