...and Scientology is a scam, but who am I to judge? Wait a minute, I'm
not going to even try to be evenhanded here. Sorry, but you are full of
it. My cousin would be dead by her own hand or institutionalized for
her own safety, if not for the drugs prescribed by a Psychiatrist, (an
MD by the way). With the she can live a fairly normal life, without
them, she'd be hanging from a chandelier in a manic stage or by a rope.
Some people have chemical imbalances which cannot be countered by any
kind of will power, vitamins, exercise, (she was a guide for an "Outward
Bound" type of program), or "magical" boxes full of wires and blinking
lights. Little Tommy has been brainwashed. What the hell is your excuse?

I agree with little Tommy on this one. Psychiatry is a pseudoscience. And
I'm not weird!

The Wikipedia (spelling?) entry on him is kind of, um,
interesting as well.
Incidentally, to clarify in advance -- I just found that
Washington Post item for the first time, but since it
provides the story, I didn't continue searching for my
original source of information about the episode. I didn't
base my opinion on the WP article, which appears to be an
opinion piece, but on news reports of the same interview (and its
fallout.)
