I've owned two Wankel powered cars. Fuel efficiency is not part of their claim to fame, but they have excellent power to weight and lots of torque once they get wound up a bit. If you didn't have at least a 350 in your car, it didn't matter much what you had under the hood, my first RX-2 would probably win against you in a street race.
