>Now, given the general mediocrity of the thousands and thousand of frames that I've taken over the years, picking a favourite, or a few favourites may not be such a huge problem <g>. How about you? Do you have a favourite among the many photos you've taken? If so, can you post it?
>I think it might be interesting to see how personal favourites might differ from what I perceive as the style of that photographer. >cheers, frank ========= My favorite photo remains one that has been my favorite all along. Shot with slide film (and a Pentax!). http://pug.komkon.org/03jul/bigbarn.html I've shot the barn again, several times, but I have never caught the light quite the same. In fact, last year I thought I caught it at the same season, and the same time of day, and, nope, it had a big shadow across it -- a shadow from another hill. Totally ruined the effect. I love late afternoon light, which it was. Well, not late, late, but getting there. It was just a happy circumstance of everything being right, and something like that is hard to duplicate. My only rival since with digital has been... http://members.aol.com/eactivist/PAWS/pages/Mom1.htm I am still looking/trying for the quintessential Mom hand shot. Actually, since I haven't taken that many photos, only about 37 rolls of slide film, and probably less than 1,000 digital shots (or close to it), it's still pretty easy for me to pick out favorite photos. And a lot of my shots have been nothing special -- not even where I was trying to get something special -- just shooting to shoot and get familiar with the camera and various settings and exploring the light at various times of day. Okay, was checking the archive and resubscribed on just to answer this question. Unsubscribing right away again, because still haven't finished my projects. And how did you guys turn a serious political/economic discussion into a silly one about religion, anyway? ;-) Marnie aka Doe ============ Boycott China. Boycott WalMart.
