OK, I didn't notice the aperture values of those lenses on the "road map",
but you are right, some of them are fast!
So, the new lenses are DA lenses (not for full frame/film).
Some of the FA* lenses was power-zooms, not supported by recent bodies
(MZ-S, *ist-line generation).

It's going to be quite exciting to see how the new 10MP APS-size-sensor
camera performs :-)
Perhaps it's even faster than the D (write speed naturally), but most
important perhaps even FPS and AF ;-)

If its' really good (good enough for group shots etc.) I will try to get it
fast :-)
Today I'm still doing group shots with my 6x6 cameras.

Jens,

Considering that Pentax's roadmap indicates at least two Pro-level zooms
(16-?? 2.8 and 50-135 2.8), they're very obviously replacing the FA*
zooms, not eliminating them. Hopefully the new DA f2.8 zooms are easier
to acquire than the rarely found FA*'s were.
