With a lot of luck you do not need to fix the lens, it works perfectly.

I usually attack stuck mount screws with some generous taps to the
driver while it is located in the  screwhead, as many time as is needed
to coax it into life. The success to retrieving obstinate screws are:

1. GOOD quality drivers...the best you can afford and then double it.
2. Lots of initial pressure. Push like mad as you start the turn.
3. A little bit of luck :-)
