Since the FAT file system is the same on all of them, the issue is simply whether or not the particular camera can view a JPEG image that it did not create. Some work, some do not. I found to my surprise that the *ist DS could view some JPEGs left over on a card from when I was shooting with a Panasonic FZ10, for instance.

And, despite being unadviceable, I can also format SD cards with my Optio 555 and use them on the *istD and vice versa, and I can even see 6Mpix pictures taken with the D on the 555 display.

Anyone else noticed such or other wild behavior?
