It was earlyish in the morning, since I was on the other side of the globe from the US -- I was flying an Army UH-1 (Huey) westward from Saigon, over the Plain of Reeds, towards Duc Hoa. We were listening to AFVN (Armed Forces - Viet Nam) radio.
