Not quite right, Paul.  With the screw-mount lenses (plus the
adapter, of course) *everything* is done stopped down; there's
no coupling to the aperture iris.   That means you can use Av,
as well as metered manual; the camera meters and exposes at the
selected aperture (rather than at full aperture on bayonet lenses).
