It would be nice if there were a thumbwheel to alter the plane of focus as set by the AF, maybe with a viewfinder indicator, to maximize foreground focus. This would put me in the K10D/K1D checkout line for sure.
I can't derive this from reading the Holy Crap thread and cannot be sure it has never been discussed but with the 67 with an aperture ring and its hyperfocal distance indicators I can guess an appropriate focus to maximize foreground focus (something I found desirable in MF but rarely used in 35mm). With digital I guess you can manually focus and use the DOF preview button but I never used a DOF preview button much. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Aaron Reynolds" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Pentax-Discuss Mail List" <pdml@pdml.net> Sent: Tuesday, August 15, 2006 7:18 PM Subject: Re: Testing the K100D and some more K10D hype > There is no rumor, just confirmed facts that are under embargo -- so > people who know can't share. > > Though a careful reading of the Holy Crap thread will reveal all. > > -Aaron > > -----Original Message----- > > From: "John Forbes" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > > Exactly what is the rumour? > > John > > -- > Using Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/m2/ > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > PDML@pdml.net > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > > > -- > PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List > PDML@pdml.net > http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net > -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List PDML@pdml.net http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
