An old farts says: After getting the FA 2.0 24mm, this lens has become my
most used lens.
I put a 2.0/24mm and a 2.8/70-200mm and a flash (and perhaps portraits lens
( 50 or 77mm) and off I go. This is practically all you'll ever need. The
primes can be repalced by a 24-70mm, a 18-55mm or similar, but the 24mm
come in very handy :-)

This is what many pro's do, so I have noticed. Use a wide angle (not so wide
on the *ist D/DL - apr. like 36mm) and go VERY close to the subject.
The advantage is - very sharp detail. At F8-F11 it's sharp at almost ANY
distance (distance setting not too important). Especially when using a flash
(many PJ's ude a flash all the time), sharpness it no longer an issue, when
you use a wide angle.

Pentax has some very nice new zooms. The DA 12-24/4 is excellent, as
is the DA 16-45/4. Some more are on the horizon. I believe one of
them is a 50-200/2.8.
