There won't be massive price cuts because the margins aren't there to permit massive price cuts.
Pentax will sell 6mp bodies for as long as people want to buy them. Once the price people are willing to pay drops below the price at which Pentax can turn a profit, they will stop selling them. This is simple economics. It applies to all companies, in all market economies.
